Options to park at Gateway Trail lot (Off of Meadowbrook Rd), Heritage Park lot (along Glade Rd), and Blacksburg Fire Station #2 (Prices Fork Rd).

The paved path runs along HWY 460 and then follows a section Stroubles Creek before crossing the creek to travel alongside the Hethwood/Foxridge apartments. Upon reaching the Hethwood Pond, trail users will turn right on to Heather Dr and follow the sidewalk to cross Prices Fork Rd.

After crossing at the lights, turn left and the paved trail begins again. This section continues along Prices Fork Rd before turning right at the Blacksburg Fire Station. Follow the trail until you reach Linwood Ln where you then veer right to head towards Glade Rd. Cross Glade Rd. and enter Heritage Park.

The Huckleberry Trail runs through the park and ends at the Gateway Trail gravel parking lot, providing access to the trail system in the National Forest.
