This trail is for winter use only when snow covered.

Need to Know

This is, primarily, a snowmobile trail; watch out for snowmobilers. Snowmobiles are permitted on this trail from Dec. 16 - Apr. 15. Though this is typically a winter-only trail, non-motorized uses are accepted.

Description

This section of Corridor 9 starts from the junction at the southwest side of the Harriman Dam and runs northward. It coincides with the Catamount X-C Trail, then turns left (uphill). It passes beneath the powerlines before arriving at a snowmobile junction. In a short distance, you'll pass by Jewell Cemetery (on the left). At the height of the hill, there's an old stone well and cellarhole (both on the left). The trail takes a sharp left and passes by the Catharine Opie Cabin. The trail climbs up to pass by the obscure Dome Trail (on the left). The trail continues to follow the snowmobile signs to Route 8.
