The access road may be inaccessible during the winter and parking is limited.
If you drove up White Oaks Road and ended up at Mountain Meadow Preserve, you've gone too far. This trail starts from the parking area with the blank kiosk. It follows red blazes through an open field and into the woods. It mostly ascends via an old woods road. It turns left, at an arrow, to ascend the ridgeline. It passes over another road, then gets slightly steeper. As you approach the spruce and hemlock forest, the trail passes over a small hump (that isn't the summit). The trail ends at the summit, just past the elevation sign.
