Need to Know

The access road and parking is only open Friday through Monday. The trailhead has a restroom and picnic tables.

Description

Unpaved, but largely flat and level, this trail follows an old road along the edge of the Mad River Slough to the remnant of a bridge. Soon after the start, there is beach access via the Kimuk Trail. Near the end is the Dap Loop Trail, which provides a second beach access point via the Hout Trail. Along the way, interpretive signs provide educational snippets and benches allow taking some time to watch the birds.
