Need to Know

The small parking lot for the Fox Creek Spur is across the street from the trailhead and shared with the Green Rock Trail. The Rockwoods Range trailhead is a few strides south of the Green Rock Trail.

Description

This forested loop through Rockwoods Range can be accessed from Fox Creek Road via the Fox Creek Spur or the Fox Creek Trail (3.5 miles each way). At the top of the spur trail, there is a wooden sign indicating the Roundhouse Loop.

The trail, which is open to hikers, bikers, and horses, is easy to find and follow. At some places it is wide enough to hike side-by-side. At the furthest point from the spur trail access, you'll come across the Roundhouse Memorial site.

When you enter the opening for the memorial, turn around almost completely to see the loop trail continue into the woods. The junction of the loop trail with the Fox Creek Trail is clearly marked.
