This loop offers a refreshing hike through pinyon and juniper forest with spectacular views of Mummy Mountain.

Free parking and outhouses on site

Starting at the Sawmill Trail picnic area, head out on the Yellow Trail. This circles up to a high overlook via a moderate climb. Continue to an intersection with the Blue Trail. Follow down from the overlook on a steep descent. The trail will circle back around to the picnic area trailhead. The route is well signed and you can keep a visual on the start/end point during the hike.
