Need to Know

The main Baileys Trails access is from the Chauncey-Dover Community Park. Access to the trails in the park is via a small stream ford on the east side of the park.

To get to the park, take a left turn (westbound) off of Ohio State Route 13 onto West Bailey Rd, and then an immediate left onto the gravel road along the railroad tracks. A new access driveway further up West Bailey Rd is under construction, and will be completed later in 2020.

Description

This short trail, named after the pile of discarded coal from historic mining in the area, has a fun half-mile loop around the ridgetop. The trail also functions as a connector between the Chauncey Depot Trail and the singletrack Coal Train Trail and the rest of the Baileys Trails System.

The Baileys Trail System is composed of purpose-built mountain bike trails that can also accommodate other human-powered uses such as hiking, backpacking, and trail running.
