Description

To get to this trail you'll need to take Catherine Creek Trail a little over 1.5 miles or hike up Loose Lucy. There is a sign about the mixed use policy of the area at the top, but nothing to signify it where it hits Loose Lucy on a prominent switchback. This mixed-use trail is probably a lot of fun if you're mountain biking, but it can be skipped for hiking. It does offer more solitude than most other trails in the area, passes through some lovely forest, and has a few nice views of the Catherine Creek ramparts, but that's not much justification when compared to other trails in the area. As of early 2020 it was getting a little overgrown with brush so there were more ticks than on other trails.

Flora & Fauna

Beware of ticks and potentially rattlesnakes.
