The majority of this trail is closed from March through September to protect nesting birds.

Description

An offshoot of the main Eden Landing Trail (Wetlands Trail) which can be combined to create a large loop. The first part of the spur (0.25mi to the Archimedes Screw historic ruins viewpoint) can be accessed year-round; seasonal access beyond this point.

Flora & Fauna

Shorebirds and waterfowl including migratory ducks. This trail passes by a series of salt ponds which vary in salinity and host different bird populations.
