Overview
Sweetwater Wetlands Park is a wildlife-lover's dream. With an abundance of creatures roaming about in the area, you're bound to see an alligator peek its ahead above the water's surface, a beautiful colored bird flutter to a nearby perch, or even a butterfly when in season. Thanks to its wide, gently graded gravel tread, you can look around and enjoy your beautiful surroundings without needing to look down and navigate a tricky technical surface. All in all, Sweetwater Wetlands Park is a lovely place for those young and old to come out and soak up a bit of Florida nature.

From the parking area, this hike simply loops around the park's easy-to-navigate trails alongside the water.

This area was built as part of ongoing efforts to control local water.
