“Great hiking trail around Greenleaf Lake with primitive camping sites.”— Mark M
Features Birding · Commonly Backpacked · Fall Colors · Lake · River/Creek · Spring · Views · Wildlife
The trail is marked with mile-markers (not accurate in their mileage) and blue circles/blazes on the trees. There is an interval that requires hiking along the highway - watch for traffic and walk on the small side area of the bridge! The swinging bridge is a great highlight of the trail about 3 miles from the trailhead, crossing over a small piece of the lake. The terrain past the bridge is more rugged on the eastern trail than the western part of the loop.
