Yellowstone brings it's 'trouble bears' to this area. Bring bear spray!

From the parking lot head over the hill where you come upon Logger Creek. Cruise along the creek before you make switchbacks up the sparsely wooded hill.

Once you make the ridge you power aggressively up with a few tight switch backs.

At around 3 miles the forest opens up as you carve along the side of the hill. After another 2/3 of a mile, the trail turns South and catches another ridge heading up.

In another mile the trail turn West and you pass Little Roaring Creek Trail #400. From here you pull into big open landscapes.

Going through thick forest on a ridge the land eventually opens up to an alpine lake. Soon you'll be pushing hard uphill until you reach the bald flat The next couple of miles cruises along, alternating between open and forested terrain.

Once you hit Beacon Point, you drop down precipitously on switchbacks. Once you have dropped 1000' in a mile, you turn east and move casually through thick forest.

Pass North Fork Hellroaring Trail #110 and you have just another couple of miles before finishing at South Fork Spanish Creek Trail.
