Description

Moderate climb from the trailhead to a ridgeline; then, a very slight grade climbing to the east boundary of Morro Bay State Park. This trail is very well maintained, wide, and has good flow. This trail does not get overgrown like some trails in the south of Morro Bay State Park, but has little shade due to the lack of oak groves. Rather, it traverses through low scrub brush. After the first moderate push up to the ridge, views of Morrow Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and Los Osos Valley are very good.

To get to the trail, start from the trailhead head east and uphill for 0.5 miles. Stay straight passing Live Oak Trail on the right. At 0.7 miles, stay straight and pass Cerro Cabrillo Trail on your left and park ridge trail on the right. The trail ends at the park boundary (there will be signs saying "dead end") and an intersection with the Canet Trail.

Parking is at the northerly trailhead on South Bay Bouldevard.
