This is an easy out and back trail through a sparse oak and ponderosa pine forest. It is accessed via the Arizona trail or from the Vishnu Trail. The trailhead for both of these trails is at a fire lookout tower on a forest service road. There are bathrooms at the trailhead. The trail takes you to an overlook of the Coconino Rim. There is a gate at a barbed wire fence crossing near the end. There are limited views of the north rim of the Grand Canyon in the distance.
