Description

You can find this trail about 1.7 miles east of the Triangulation Peak Trail #3373 trailhead (which makes for about a five mile round trip hike from there). The trail begins climbing switchbacks on the north face of Triangulation Peak. Early on a small spur leads to the top of Spire Rock if you fancy. Continue climbing south on the steady grade. The trial is pretty well made and has good shade so it's relatively easy going. At about a half mile keep an eye out for the unmarked trail to Boca Cave which is very cool. The trail then wraps around a large open summit that once housed a fire watchtower. A small rock spire offers a mini-scramble to the true high point but the fire watchtower base is where most people will enjoy the 360 degree views from.
