Description

The Whitehouse Cliffs Trail is not an easy undertaking, but the hike to the summit is well worth breaking a sweat for the views that you'll enjoy of Rocky Fork State Park from this vantage point. To access the trail, start on the easy Rocky Fork Trail, and look for this trail to branch to your right.

The trail starts climbing immediately (and steeply) up through large rocks and rhododendrons. The trail follows along a creek before the trail turns back to the southwest and climbs straight up. This last section is a leg-burning climb, but once you reach the top, you'll be able to catch your breath and enjoy the views.
