Description

This trail starts from the parking area off Thompson Road and heads up a gravel road. The trail goes for a short distance then turns right, where the view spur turns left. From this point on, the trail corridor narrows to a trail width. The trail ascends steadily, then hits a rocky scramble. The trail starts to turns right as it ascends the ridge past some views. It ends at the Crawford-Ridgepole Trail. For the true summit of Doublehead Mountain, head east along the Crawford-Ridgepole Trail. The summit, as far as I can tell, is a rocky ridge on the right edge of the trail.
