Purchase passes at the Carters Lake Visitor Center, Carters Dam Rd, Chatsworth, GA 30705. It's worth the trip - beautiful views and small museum.

Need to Know

Parking is at parking areas on either side of the road going down to the boat launch. Main parking area is where the trail crosses the parking lot. Picnic areas, Tumbling Waters hiking trail and vault toilet at boat launch.

Description

This loop trail can be done either direction. Start at the top of the road going down to the boat launch on the east side. It rolls right into a berm turn and then a few mountain bike features (all features have a hike-around) for about a mile down to the lake.

This trail section merges into the original old school singletrack - take a breathe, slow down, and enjoy the lake view.

The singletrack trail brings you to the mountain bike parking area, hike across it diagonally, cross the road and pick up the trail on the other side. This side (west) is an easier climb back up to the top with additional features.
