Enjoy amazing views of Central Maui, along with some nice gulches in the West Maui Mountains.

Description

Starting from either end, you’ll climb some decent rocky gulches over the ribs on the southwest corner of the West Maui Mountains. At the top, the trail levels out for a bit before starting the descent on either side. It's pretty cool to hike past the giant wind turbines that pretty well mark the middle of the trail.

Looking west into the sea...the view of the ocean is better on this side of the slope.

A gulch, whose name I've forgotten, on the western slope just past the wind turbines. This section was rougher but also prettier in my opinion.
