No fires, pets, or camping is allowed in the State Wildlife Area.

Need to Know

This is a State Wildlife Area, so certain times of the year there will be hunting taking place in the area.

Description

If you want to get from the southern end of Black Bear Trail to any of the trails going into Mueller State Park, you'll need to use this trail. Since this trail is almost level with little elevation change, it gives a good respite from the ups and downs of Black Bear Trail.

Flora & Fauna

There are numerous small predators in the area, as evidenced by the scat on the trail. It's not uncommon to find the remains of a turkey or other small animal that "put up the good fight" along the trail.
