Description

The Fort Ward Main Loop gives you the best of both worlds when it comes to hiking on Bainbridge Island. You have one half of the trail that's a hilly singletrack trail through the forest and the other half along the beach with views of the Olympics and an occasional passing ferry. From the trail, you can connect to the Fort Ward to Blakely Harbor Trail to extend your hike even further.

There are several different parking lots you can use to access the trail. The main parking lot is located at the north end of the trail on Pleasant Beach Drive NE. At the southern end there is a smaller parking lot off Fort Ward Hill Road NE. Both parking lots have plenty of parking and restrooms.
