Overview

Starting at the Hesitation Point Vista, this loop combines the Schooner Trace Trail and Walnut Trail. This loop is narrow, rocky, and crosses many small streams. Stone outcroppings and small rock shelters are located along the way. Lastly, expect high, relatively flat ridge sections combined with switchbacks that drop into wide valleys and steep ravines.

Description

From the vista, follow the Walnut Trail to the intersection with the Schooner Trace Trail. Make a right and follow the trail across rolling terrain to the junction with the Walnut Trail. Once you've made it here, head west (left) to follow the trail back to the parking area.
