The northwest part of this loop is shared with equestrian riders. Be alert and ready to yield appropriately.
This trail provides some challenging singletrack for intermediate hikers. There are advanced sections that can be by-passed that will extend your hike to 9+ miles. The trail is well-maintained by an active SORBA group and others. Still, there are rocky sections, plenty of roots to test your footwork, and some technical stream crossings that could be daunting for those who don't have much experience yet.
This route is mostly used by cyclists, so be aware for them as you hike.
