Description
This is a beautiful singletrack trail winding through JW Corbett WMA. Start at trailhead and wind through woods with tall pine trees. The trail opens up briefly in some low areas, and you can see out over the small ponds and swamp.
Once back into the woods, you'll wind through diverse areas of tall pines and a few more open views, then down into swampier areas with thicker vegetation and many cypress knees. The trail weaves in an out of old forest service roads, so there are always bail-out points if the trail gets too rough. Toward the end, you'll go through a particularly winding and swampy area, surrounded by huge cypress trees. After that, you'll gradually rise up a few feet and come out in the open, along power lines and the South Grade Road, a wide dirt road,
This route overlaps some of the numbered routes in the park, and is part of a longer, 63-mile trail; however, this section describes the portion of trail contained within the JW Corbett WMA.
