Description

This half mile trail borders the banks of the Colorado River; the trail starts at the fence line dividing the park from the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa. Due to the name of this trail it may seem obvious, but you'll be hiking through deep sandy soils along the riverbanks.

The trail winds through a riparian forest of cottonwoods, hackberries, sycamores, and willow trees. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles along this stretch of trail.

Flora & Fauna

Cottonwoods, hackberries, sycamores, and willow trees grow here. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles.
