Description

This trail was originally named Salsa Trail, but in June 2017 it was renamed to Beasway Trail to honor Brett Beasley who passed away in January 2017. Beasley was nearly a 20 year veteran with the USFS and has been instrumental in creating / building new trails in the Salida area (including Salsa Trail).

This trail starts at the top of County Road 175. Look for the large parking area and the Cottonwood Trailhead Kiosk. Park here, or if you rode from town, pick up the trail here.

This trail ends at the Rumba Trail (also new in spring 2016). You'll hop onto this trail, and descend as you follow the trail south from the trailhead. The trail is rolling, but you'll mostly be dropping elevation.

At the end of this trail, you'll transition into the Rumba Trail, which then funnels into the Cottonwood Trail, and finally leads into the S Mtn. trail system.
