This trail starts off from the parking lot near the boat launch. It follows the road southeast, skirting the large ridgeline before heading north into the woods. It shares a brief segment with the Windy Ridge Trail before turning south alongside the oak forest edge. It's possible to connect to the Blue Ridge Trail via the Blue Ridge Connector.
