Description

The trail starts at the parking lot nearest the dam on the southeast end of the park. It hugs the shoreline of Yellowstone Lake before cutting north through mixed fields and meadows, making connections with the Oak Grove Trail and Savannah Loop. The path moves in and out of woodland areas, skirting the park boundaries. After a junction with the Timber Trail, it turns back towards the lake, ending near the park office and the Wildlife Loop.

A couple steep hills but a pretty simple hike. Largely uncovered on the East side of the trail and becomes slightly more tree covered as you move west 5.7mi
