If you like fire road climbs, this is a great climb. The middle portion is on a gated road closed to motorized traffic. The road is reverting to doubletrack giving it a more backcountry feel than than the main gravel road.
At the top of the climb detour a 1/4 mile to the Willow Mountain Lookout for a great view.
