Description

This is a great trail for a day or multi-day hike. Start out at the Tyee Lakes Trailhead along South Lake Road. There is a dirt parking area, and the trailhead is toward the north end of the parking area (GPS: 37.195929, -118.564753). First, you'll cross over the footbridge that spans Bishop Creek, then start on a 2.5 mile hike to the first lake.

You'll encounter many switchbacks on your way up to the first lake. The first lake offers good fishing of small-sized brook trout. To get to the second lake, get ready for a short and steep hike. The second lake is small and grassy.

The third and fourth lakes are another short and steep hike up. The fourth lake offers more good fishing opportunities. The fifth lake is yet another short hike up into the basin and offers more great fishing and views.

After the lakes, the trail switchbacks up Table Mountain. It is a little faint as it crosses the top to the switchbacks above George Lake. Follow these down to the lake with large and popular camp sites beside it. Keep your eyes open and you'll spot mining artifacts. Trail continues steeply down to connect with Sabrina Basin Trail #3101.
