“Hike across the mountainside below the the Griffith Park Observatory on this trail for some great views.”— John McKinney
The trail then bends north to reach a juncture with the West Observatory Trail, at which point the trails merge and continue further to the east as the East Observatory Trail. Soon after this junction, you'll reach another, this time with the Griffith Park Observatory Spur. Turn left here if you want to hike up to the observatory, otherwise stay to the right to follow the East Observatory Trail.
After hiking the East Observatory Trail for nearly 1/2 of a mile further, you'll reach the trail's end as it runs into Vista del Valle Dr. From here, you can return along the same route or try to meet up with other trails in the nearby area.
