Trail is open again, though the landscape has changed since the December 2017 the Thomas Fire Closure

Description

The Girard Trail begins as a diverging trail from the McMenemy Trail. The Girard Trail splits off to the right (north) from the McMenemy Trail at the coastal viewpoint that hosts the stone McMenemy Bench.

From here, this signed trail heads north as it steeply ascends for a little over 1/2 of a mile to reach the Edison Catway Road, at which point it ends. Although this trail is short, it offers up spectacular views and allows you the opportunity to connect with other trails in the immediate area.
