Description

Divide Trail is a singletrack that plunges very steeply down towards the valley of East Dry Run Fork Creek. Of course it's possible to hike uphill, but it's a pretty steep climb.

It makes part of the Horse Heaven loop in a remote area of Mount Rogers National Recreation Area.

It connects the long distance Virginia Highlands Horse Trail (#337) and Iron Mountain Trail (#301) that run most of the length of Mount Rogers National Recreation Area. There is actually a gap in the Iron Mountain Trail just to the east and from Iron Mountain Trail #301: US 21 to Divide Trail where you must take Divide Trail and a portion of the VHHT to get to the next segment of the Iron Mountain Trail.
