If you want to reach Itacolomi Peak without hiking the traditional dirt road, this is the way. From very close to the park entrance, there is a paved road that takes you to the trailhead. After that, you'll hike on a nice singletrack that goes up on a rocky trail and heads into the woods. It is an uphill after which you'll reach the Trilha Pico do Itacolomi to continue your hike onto Itacolomi Peak.
