Need to Know
This trail is lightly used, and the trestle is not open yet—hopefully by the fall of 2020.
There's parking off East Line Road.
The Rivergate Trail
, also called the Sissy Danforth Rivergate Trail
, stretches from Clayton to Acheson's Crossing at State Route 11 in Philadelphia, New York. A second spur runs north from Theresa to Redwood.
The trail follows the former Penn Central Railroad corridor, traveling through pastoral farmland and beautiful hardwood forests.
