These loose unstable talus slopes and cliffs are very dangerous and great care should be taken when hiking on the unstable slopes and escarpments.

Overview

Short hike to an incredible viewpont over much of the Grand Staircase region.

Description

From the parking area, this trail meanders south through ancient bristlecone pine atop a massive limestone cliff. While the views are great from the this trail, be sure to take it to the end to see Powell Point! Keep in mind that this is not a maintained trail, and some of the footing can be unstable above sheer drop offs. You may be truly alone out here, so use appropriate caution.
