A wonderful trail to enjoy the shade of the forest canopy and some great river views.

Dogs: Leashed

Description

This trail begins at the terminus of the Roadrunner Trail where it arrives at Beltline Road. Once on the trail you travel a short distance just below the bridge and then cut back into the forest. After a quick hike, you are rewarded with some great river views as well as a chance to see the last standing remnants of the Trinity River lock system used in the early 20th century. The trail then continues along through mostly forested terrain finally connecting you with the beginning of the Hog's Wild Trail. This is a nice trail with great river viewing options.
