Description

The trail begins at the terminus of the Ranch Road Trail just before you reach the river. You immediately head into the forest which provides plenty of tree cover for the remainder of the hike. The trail is lightly traveled but easy to follow. The local off-road bicycling associaton, DORBA, has done a great job ensuring the trails are well marked and easy to navigate.

Due to some feral hog activity, the trail can have some standing water and fairly muddy patches throughout, so mind your step. This trail is sandwiched between the Roadrunner Trail and the Trinity River and provides plenty of opportunity for solitude and wildlife encounters.
