The Susan Wright Trail starts at one of the larger parking lots off of the Gainesville-Hawthorne rails-to-trails. It has varied surfaces, from boardwalks across the swamp, to a short grassy section, and a final section with some roots. The trail is easily navigated during the winter and spring when water levels are low. At the halfway point, the Yellow Trail intersects with the Susan Wright Trail; the end of the trail is the halfway point of the Jane Walker Trail (red). These three trails together make for a good 5.5 mile of hiking.
