Description

This route is an easy trail that winds through the forest next to and near the Broad River. Very well-marked with blue blaze/markers, this trail is wide and easy to follow with a few points providing a good views and access to the river. This trail has several branches to other established side-trail paths, including one with orienteering objectives.

There are several great seating options early in the trail path for those that do not want to push to the end or need a nice break. Seating options include a long bench, picnic tables, and even a porch-style swing. There are a few grills for those that want to make this a lunch/dinner activity.

About a quarter mile from the end-point is a site cleared and established for camping. Overall, a great trail for the new hiker or those just getting into backpacking.

Flora & Fauna

Deer dot the waters edge, and some fish can be seen along the way.
