“A short, family-friendly route that ends at Moore Cove Falls.”— Matthew Fedel
Family Friendly A perfect family friendly trail. Less than a mile, with a waterfall to play under/around at the end.
You'll start the trail by crossing a footbridge, and it is marked by a yellow blaze. The trail will climb at a moderate grade for the first 150ft from the parking area, but then level off. The trail is well maintained and has solidly built footbridges.
The trail ends at Moore Cove Falls, which casts water over a cave-like rock outcropping. You can explore all the way around the base of the waterfall (or through it, if it's oppressively hot!). The trail does not go beyond the falls. Do not try to make your way to the top of the fall, as it is dangerous and will potentially cause unnecessary environmental damage.
