Lime Kiln Loop Trail

Intermediate
 4.4 (18)

Singletrack, rocks, roots, and elevation all make this an excellent but strenuous loop.

Description

The upper ridge is very navigable, and either way you decide to hike the trail, the loop provides lots of elevation and technical challenge. You'll start in the lower part of the park, and from there you'll have a steep climb to the ridgeline. After the flatter terrain along the ridge, there will be another steep descent leading back to the parking area.

You'll often see deer and occasionally turkey. Along the road, you have a small water crossing and will be treated to llamas and alpacas on the other side.
