Description
The Coyote Trail is a nice loop through Bridle Trails State Park. The loop features gentle climbs and solid footing. The trail starts at main junction very close to car park. The beginning of the trail heads uphill for a small but steady climb. Once up this initial hill, the trail rolls steadily up and down, winding through dense, green woods.
As the trail skirts the edge of the park, you can see some homes through the woods, but as the trail turns south and cuts through the center of the park, you'll enjoy a peaceful section through large and stately trees. There are a variety of connecting trails throughout this portion, but most are singletrack so it is easy to stay on the wider, more well-maintained, Coyote Trail.
The trail then loops back to the northwest, connecting briefly with the
Trillium Trail before ending back at the parking area where you started.
