Description

The Wilburn Farm Trail is a unique treat for visitors to the park, offering some of the most challenging terrain that hikers will find in the nature preserve. The trail branches off of the Flat Rock Spur Trail, and starts with a steady uphill for the first half mile. From here, hikers will enjoy a similarly steady, but more gradual, descent with one smaller climb thrown in, as the trail loops around to its endpoint on the Boomerang Spur Trail.

Along the way, keep an eye open for a spring-fed pond and an unusual view of the bald dome of Arabia Mountain. Visitors will also get a glimpse into the area’s agricultural heritage as the trail passes an old barn, a historic homestead, and farming terraces.
