Family Friendly Since the trail is an easier hike kids will enjoy the experience outdoors. The trails are wider and there doesn't appear to be any geographical hazards in the area.

Description

You can start your hike from either end of this trail. Parking is easier to access from the western entrance since there is a senior center with public parking. The eastern entrance is used for excess beach parking in the summer and is usually a pay to park area. The area is very swampy but the trail is elevated for the most part which keeps you out of the mud. It is very buggy so insect repellent is necessary. The trail is well maintained and features various branches leading to a pond and fields. The area abuts a federal bird preserve so there is also a branch that leads to the coastal marsh/federal land.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of chipmunks and grey squirrels. If you're lucky you will see a flock of turkey and deer.
