Respect trails during breakup and wet weather. The silt surface can be really slick when wet, especially on the hills.

Description

This is a rolling, hilly, ski trail that marks the current eastern edge of the Crevasse-Moraine Trail System. The route cuts across a popular sledding hill, so you may prefer other outbound trails if there's snow on the ground. Expressway is more direct, and a good snowy alternative.

Where this route intersects the Swamp Loop, the trail has been hardened with geoblok, but there's no drainage. The result is that the trail surface can be wet, but is rarely muddy. Shortly after that section, you climb out of the lowest area and will instead follow ridges with multiple ups and downs. With such varied terrain, this is a fun and challenging trail.

Flora & Fauna

Birch and spruce trees.
