This "trail" is basically a wide open prairie landscape, with a 2000 meter perimeter that is maintained, as well as some additional sections that are maintained and easy to navigate. There's a lot of liberty to get miles here however you want, from laps around the perimeter, to figure 8's. It's almost entirely exposed, so wear sun protection, or if you're working on your tan, wear very little. There are a few undulations, but it's mostly flat-ish grassy terrain.

Prairie birds are relatively abundant in this area, and it is common to see a lot of meadowlarks and redwing blackbirds with raptors soaring above.
