Description

Access this spur trip from the main Sugarloaf trail. This spur begins about 0.75 miles up the Sugarloaf trail and is about 0.8 miles round trip from leaving the Sugarloaf trail.

Occasionally marked by yellow blazes this trail winds around North Sugarloaf Mountain before its final ascent to the summit. There are a handful of short spurs leading off around the summit to various exposed areas which provide excellent views. If you have time explore as much as you can just make sure you keep track of the way you came up. Looking to the east you'll get excellent views of Mount Washington and to the north you'll be able to see Middle Sugarloaf and more mountains behind it.

It was a quiet morning. I had both mountain summits to myself, and a lonely Mourning Dove. 8.3mi — 2h 45m

Spur to North Sugarloaf. Views are less expansive than neighbor, but still very dramatic towards Washington.
