With a view of Mt. Washington pretty much the whole way up, there's tons of scenery to admire along this trail.

Description

Pretty much the whole way up this trail you can see Mt. Washington, which is spectacular on a clear day. You pass by a couple beautiful waterfalls and hike along a crystal clear stream most of the way. If you take this trail, you might as well do Mt. Monroe at the same time because you have to go pretty much right by it.

Overall, its a longer, tricky hike but very deserving of the effort when you reach the top. With views as far as you can see, take in partial views of the Presidential Range, as well as the Mt. Washington hotel.

Flora & Fauna

Not many animals, a few chipmunks here and there, but that's about it.

Gorgeous trail. Great one to do on a sunny day after a big rain, so the beautiful falls are running high, but the weather is good for your climb. Lakes of the Clouds, and the hut named for them, are at the top of this trail where it meets the Crawford Path. Monroe is nearby, and Washington 1.4 miles and 1275' of climb to the northeast. You're exposed the last 150' or so of climb on the Ammo. Jul 2, 2017
