Description

There are many access points to this trail that circles the center of the Cincinnati Nature Center. It is the central trail that connects to many of the outward trails in the park.

Some of the features on this trail include the Herb Wall with a variety of cultivated wildlife, visits to the Reservoir Pond and Lotus Pond, the Boneyard and the Butterfly Garden. The ponds have boardwalks that are great for viewing the local wildlife up close, including toads, tadpoles, fish and newts. The Boneyard is a cool learning and observation area that features multiple animal carcasses in various stages of decomposition.

Most of the trail is wooded but there is a section of it in the open field on the north. The trail circles the Schott Nature PlayScape.
